Item Overview
This archived listing documents an original SuperMac Thunder/24 NuBus video card,
a third‑party graphics accelerator designed for Apple Macintosh systems during the early 1990s.
This card was evaluated and sold as a vintage Macintosh expansion component intended for
retro use, restoration, or historical reference.

Condition at Time of Sale
At the time of evaluation, the video card was physically intact and showed no obvious signs of damage.
The card was installed in a Power Macintosh 7100/80 and successfully produced video output.
- Displayed video output on a Macintosh monitor
- Output was observed in black and white only during testing
- System was running a clean installation of Mac OS 8.1
- No SuperMac‑specific drivers or extensions were available during testing
It was believed that the lack of color output was likely due to missing or incorrect drivers,
rather than a physical failure of the card itself. No further testing was performed.
Memory Configuration
- VRAM capacity unknown
- Two of four 72‑pin SIMM sockets populated at time of inspection
Compatibility Notes
Period documentation indicates that the SuperMac Thunder/24 is compatible with
NuBus‑based Macintosh systems, including both 68K and PowerPC platforms.
Reported operating system support ranges from early classic Mac OS versions
through Mac OS 9.1 when properly configured with the correct drivers.
Archival & Collector Notes
This card was sold as‑is due to its age and the absence of appropriate driver software
at the time of evaluation. This archived listing is maintained for long‑tail search visibility
and may be useful to collectors, restorers, or researchers studying third‑party NuBus graphics
hardware, VRAM configurations, or early Macintosh display acceleration.
This archived listing is preserved for historical reference and collector research.
