Up for sale is an old Apple Power Macintosh 8500/120 from 1995. This old desktop Mac has a clean install of MacOS System 7.5.2 on its 1GB IBM SCSI hard drive. The date and time were incorrect which means that it needs a BIOS battery. The plastic on the case is in generally good condition, with the exception of the piece of plastic between two of the PCI slot covers – SEE PICTURES as well as a couple of chunks out here and there. Anyway, it is pushing 30 years old and the plastic is brittle. You only get the desktop PC – you will need to provide your own ADB keyboard and mouse as well as a monitor. This one came with a PCI fast ethernet card installed: Asante 10/100 as an upgrade from the 10MB onboard NIC. We did not try to test the networking, but there are TCP/IP settings in the control panel – you might do better with a newer OS – Apple’s support site says it will run all the way up to OS 9.

- The floppy drive seems to work just fine – was able to format a floppy diskette and copy files to and read files from it.
- The plastic on the case is pushing 30 years old and is quite brittle and yellowed.
- Broken plastic between two of the PCI slot covers – SEE PICTURES!
- 1GB IBM SCSI hard drive w/ OS 7.5.2 loaded – Quite Noisy
- Light scratches and sticker residue on the side – SEE PICTURES!
- NO MONITOR
- NO MacOS DISC
- NO Power Cable – You will need to provide your own.
- NO Keyboard or Mouse – you will need to provide your own ADB keyboard & mouse
- Date / Time are incorrect – it needs a BIOS battery.
