If this model becomes available again, it will be listed separately as a new item.
Item Overview
This archived listing documents an original Apple Power Macintosh 7100/80,
a first‑generation PowerPC desktop Macintosh introduced in 1994.
This unit was evaluated and sold as a vintage collectible intended for parts, repair,
restoration, or historical reference.
- Model: Power Macintosh 7100/80 (M2391)
- Year: 1994
- Processor: PowerPC 601 @ 80 MHz
- Memory: Unknown
- Storage: None installed (hard drive removed)
- Serial Number: FC53052A44H
- Assembly: Assembled in USA
Condition at Time of Sale
At the time of evaluation, the system powered on and produced the standard Macintosh
power‑on chime when using the rear power button. However, no video output was obtained during testing.
- System powered on and chimed
- No video output was observed during testing
- Testing was performed using an installed NuBus video card only
- Onboard video output was not tested due to monitor connector incompatibility
The hard drive was not present at the time of sale. The original hard drive caddy
and three of the four mounting screws were included. One screw was missing.
The enclosure was in generally good condition for its age, showing expected wear
such as scratches, scuffs, dust, and light yellowing. The plastic was brittle,
consistent with a nearly 30‑year‑old Macintosh. All four original rubber feet were missing.
One expansion slot cover was also missing.
A NuBus video card was installed in the system. No determination was made regarding
whether the lack of video output was related to the card, missing storage,
PRAM battery condition, or other internal factors.
Included / Not Included
- Included: Desktop unit, installed NuBus video card, hard drive caddy, three hard drive mounting screws
- Not Included: Hard drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cable, Mac OS installation media
Archival & Collector Notes
This system was sold as‑is due to its age and incomplete configuration.
Early Power Macintosh systems frequently require working storage media, functional PRAM batteries,
and compatible video hardware to fully boot and display video output.
This archived listing is maintained for long‑tail search visibility and may be useful
to collectors, restorers, or researchers studying Power Macintosh 7100 diagnostics,
NuBus video behavior, or common failure and test conditions encountered with early PowerPC desktops.
This archived listing is preserved for historical reference and collector research.
