Item Overview

This archived listing documents an Apple Power Macintosh 7200/90,
an early PCI‑based PowerPC desktop Macintosh introduced in the mid‑1990s.
This unit was evaluated and sold as a vintage collectible suitable for restoration,
retro computing, or historical reference.

  • Model: Power Macintosh 7200/90
  • Year: 1995
  • Processor: PowerPC 601 @ 90 MHz
  • Memory: 24 MB RAM
  • Storage: None installed (no hard drive present)
  • Assembly: Assembled in USA

Condition at Time of Sale

At the time of evaluation, the system powered on successfully and produced the standard
Macintosh startup chime on each attempt. Video output behavior varied during testing.

  • Powered on and played the Macintosh startup sound both times tested
  • No video output observed on the first power‑on attempt
  • Successfully booted from a Mac OS 8.6 CD on a subsequent attempt
  • AppleCD drive read the installation CD but was very noisy during operation

No internal hard drive was installed, and the system did not include a hard drive mounting sled.
However, the internal power and data cables for a hard drive were present.

The system date and time were incorrect, indicating a likely depleted PRAM battery.

The enclosure was in generally good condition for its age, with typical wear,
including scuffs and scratches. The plastic was brittle, consistent with a system
approximately 25 years old, and some small pieces of plastic were missing on the rear of the case.

Included / Not Included

  • Included: Desktop unit only
  • Not Included: Hard drive, hard drive mounting sled, monitor,
keyboard, mouse, power cable, Mac OS installation media

Archival & Collector Notes

This system was sold as‑is due to its age and incomplete configuration.
Early PCI Power Macintosh systems often require working storage media,
functional PRAM batteries, and compatible peripherals to operate reliably.

This archived listing is maintained for long‑tail search visibility and may be useful
to collectors or restorers studying Power Macintosh 7200 behavior,
early PCI Mac designs, or real‑world operating conditions of mid‑1990s Apple hardware.

This archived listing is preserved for historical reference and collector research.
