Item Overview
This archived listing documents an original Apple Power Macintosh 7100/80,
a first‑generation PowerPC desktop Macintosh introduced in the mid‑1990s.
This unit was evaluated and sold as a vintage collectible suitable for restoration,
retro use, or historical reference.
- Model: Power Macintosh 7100/80 (M2391)
- Year: 1994
- Processor: PowerPC 601 @ 80 MHz
- Memory: 72 MB RAM

Condition at Time of Sale
At the time of evaluation, the system powered on successfully and booted into
Mac OS 8.1, which had been cleanly installed on the internal SCSI hard drive.
- Booted successfully into Mac OS 8.1
- CD‑ROM drive functioned and was used to install the operating system; slightly noisy during use
- Floppy drive was not tested
- System date and time were likely incorrect, suggesting a depleted PRAM battery
The enclosure was in generally good condition for its age, showing typical wear such as
scratches, scuffs, and light yellowing. The plastic was brittle, consistent with
a nearly 30‑year‑old Macintosh.
One internal plastic clip securing the motherboard was broken.
One original rubber foot was missing from the bottom of the case.
Additionally, small loose plastic fragments were found inside the enclosure during inspection;
their original location was not definitively identified. These fragments were included with the unit.
Included / Not Included

- Not Included: Monitor, monitor cable or adapter, keyboard, mouse,
power cable, Mac OS installation media
Archival & Collector Notes
This system was sold as‑is due to its age.
Early‑1990s Apple desktop plastics are known to be brittle and prone to breakage with handling,
even when properly packed. Local pickup was available to reduce the risk of transit damage.
