Up for sale is a lot of 2 IBM Thinkpad 770 Laptops for PARTS/REPAIR: One 770E and one 770Z. Both laptops power on, but the AC adapters are NOT INCLUDED – you will need to provide your own (16VDC, 3.36A). There are some defects on these two laptops and they are summarized below – please keep in mind that this list may not be complete. These are being offering on the internet in hopes that someone can use some of the parts or is interested in repairing them. Please keep these things in mind when making your decision to purchase. If you would like to save on the shipping, you’re welcome to schedule a time to come and pick them up.

IBM Thinkpad 770Z, Type 9549-82U (Laptop on the left)

• IBM Thinkpad 770Z Laptop PC from about 1999
• Type 9549-82U
• ‘Designed for Microsoft Windows NT Windows 98’ – You will need to provide your own install media and license.
• 128MB RAM (2 DIMMs – see pictures)
• NO HARD DRIVE and NO HARD DRIVE BRACKET
• Needs new BIOS battery
• NO BATTERY or OPTICAL DRIVE.
• NO AC Adapter – you will need to provide your own; it takes 16V DC, 3.36A
• Color Display
• Scratches, Scrapes, other cosmetic defects – Please examine the pictures.
• Error 00163 on boot.

IBM Thinkpad 770E, Type 9548-51U (Laptop on the right)

• IBM Thinkpad 770E Laptop PC from about 1997
• Type 9548-51U
• ‘Designed for Microsoft Windows NT Windows 98’ – You will need to provide your own install media and license.
• 64MB RAM (one free memory slot)
• NO HARD DRIVE and NO HARD DRIVE BRACKET
• Needs new BIOS battery
• 24X CD-ROM – Untested.
• NO BATTERY
• NO AC Adapter – you will need to provide your own; it takes 16V DC, 3.36A
• Scratches, Scrapes, other cosmetic defects
• There is a small crack in the plastic near the hard drive bay (see picture)
• Errors on boot: 00161, 00192, 00163
• It booted into a test mode and locked up on the Memory test – See picture
• Other defects?
