Up for sale is a used Dell Inspiron 620 Mini Tower PC for PARTS / REPAIR only! This PC originally had Windows 7 Home edition on it, and the Windows 7 Home product key is included on a sticker on the case – you will need to provide your own install media and hard drive. We had upgraded it to Windows 10 Home during the free upgrade period and ran it for several years. All of a sudden, the system would not boot anymore; it would hang at the swirling balls and the Windows 10 logo. So, we did a bit of troubleshooting: we tried booting on one RAM module, then the other – same result. We then tried removing the BIOS battery and moving the jumper to reset the BIOS – same result. We connected a power supply tester to the power supply which reported that the power supply is good. We then tried booting from a USB thumb drive – it would start to boot, then lock up. Next, we moved the hard drive to another PC and the operating system started up just fine – we suspect bad motherboard, but we were unable to see anything obvious like bulging / blown capacitors. So, this PC is sold AS-IS for PARTS or REPAIR only! The case is in pretty good shape with minor scratches/scrapes. Please keep these things in mind when considering your purchase.
