Up for sale is a good used server RAID controller card. This was put into service in Dec 2016 and retired in Sept 2021 in a Dell server as an upgrade from what originally came with the server. It has two upgrades:
- AXXRPFKSSD2 – Intel RAID SSD Cache with Fast Path I/O premium feature key
- Super Capacitor – makes it less likely to have data corruption in a power outage
Intel RS25AB080 – Intel branded, but manufactured by LSI – and you can use the Broadcom / LSI MegaRAID software to configure it – SEE PICTURES! After this was retired in September of 2021, we got it back out to try and use it as a JBOD controller in a newer server with LSI MegaRAID software (see pictures), but it looks like it only supports RAID and not JBOD – at least not JBOD which is compatible with Microsoft Storage Spaces. So, we’re offering it on the internet in hopes that someone out there can put it to use!
This card runs VERY HOT! You will need to install this in a server with lots of airflow to keep it cool!
