Up for sale is a lot of 3 NASA Space Shuttle Columbia pinback buttons:
- STS-1 2.25″ Metal Pin Button Badge Young Crippen
- STS-2 3″ Metal Pin Button Badge Engle Truly 1981
- STS-4 2.75″ Metal Pin Button Badge Mattingly 1982
A used promotional pin for NASA’s first space shuttle launch.. This features the names of the two astronauts flying the spacecraft: John Young and Robert Crippen and the name of the orbiter: Columbia all in a graphic of the mission patch. It is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter, made of steel and has some fading and slight corrosion on the back – SEE PICTURES! It’s not dated, but the launch was back on 12 April 1981, so this is likely 4+ decades old.
A used promotional pin for NASA’s second space shuttle launch.. This features the names of the two astronauts flying the spacecraft: Joe Engle and Richard Truly and the name of the orbiter: Columbia all in a graphic of the mission patch. With the words ‘Kennedy Space Center, Florida’ on the bottom.
It is about 3 inches in diameter, made of steel and has some discoloration and extremely slight corrosion on the back – SEE PICTURES! On the edge is printed: ‘Best Seal Corp., New York 10013 1981’
A used promotional pin for NASA’s fourth space shuttle launch.. This features the names of the two astronauts flying the spacecraft: Ken Mattingly and Henry Hartsfield and the name of the orbiter: Columbia all in a graphic of the mission patch. It is oval shaped and measures about 2 3/4 inches long by 1 3/4″ tall, made of steel and is in excellent condition for being decades old! – Examine the pictures!!
