Up for sale is an old IBM tape drive from 1993. We powered it on and the fans whirred and the green light and the amber light came on on the front – but that’s all the testing we’re able to do. The door to the tape drive will NOT stay shut and there was a rattle inside of the case which turned out to be a piece of a gear – see picture. The hex wrench for opening the case is included as well as the piece of gear recovered from inside of the case.
