Up for sale is an HP Pavilion DV7-7023cl which is DEFECTIVE. This laptop will NOT BOOT! When the power is connected, the light beside of the power connector comes on and when the power button is pressed, the fan whirrs briefly, then stops. The light on the WiFi button comes on and stays on steady and the Caps Lock Light flashes about once per second. If you hold in on the power button for 5 seconds, it turns off. Nothing comes on the screen! This system has been replaced with something newer and faster (and working), so, we’re offering this defective laptop on the internet in hopes that someone is interested in either repairing it, or using it for parts. This laptop does NOT come with a hard drive, you will need to provide your own. It has slots for two 2.5″ drives in it, but only comes with one caddy. You will need to provide your own screws to fasten a hard drive to the caddy, but the screws which hold the caddy to the laptop are included. There is NO BATTERY in this laptop. This originally had Windows 7 Home edition on it, but it does NOT come with a product key – you will need to provide your own. It has 6GB of RAM installed (1 x 4GB module and 1 x 2GB module) Please examine the pictures carefully before you purchase. We also tried connecting it to an external monitor and powering it on, but got the same result – nothing!

• The palm rest looks like it is a little bit bowed up and the headphone/microphone jacks don’t line up perfectly with the side of the case
• Other defects?
