Up for sale is an old Compaq laptop computer, model M2010US. It powers on, but after a while it overheats and turns off. As for the physical condition, there are numerous scratches and scuffs; three of the rubber feet on the bottom are missing. The right latch that holds the computer closed is non-functional and the computer must be pried to open – please examine the pictures. The computer would not run long enough for DBAN to run fully, so we had to remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer in order to wipe it. There may be other defects not readily apparent. After wiping the hard drive, a surface scan revealed no errors. The hard drive has been re-installed into the computer. The system date and time were incorrect so this probably needs the CMOS battery replaced. The laptop does power on a little bit with while on the battery, but the battery is old and not expected to be any good. This is sold as-is for a collectible or for parts/repair. You get the computer ONLY – no other parts/pieces are included.
