Up for sale is an Asus X550E 15.6″ touchscreen laptop being sold FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. This unit powers on but has known hardware issues and is missing a hard drive.
The system was previously upgraded to Windows 10 but began running very slowly. Upon investigation, it was found that the laptop only recognizes 2GB of the installed 6GB RAM. The onboard 4GB appears not to be detected.
- The system will boot only with the 2GB DIMM installed
- If the DIMM is removed, the system does not boot
Because of these issues, the laptop was replaced and is now being sold as-is for parts or repair.
