Up for sale is our 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid passenger car / sedan. It was purchased with about 89K miles on it in September 2017 and it now has almost 231K miles – the number of miles may be increasing as the car will still be used occasionally until sold. It has always been driven by the owner as a family / commuter car and has had regular maintenance and repairs done and has served well! We have now switched to a newer vehicle with a lot fewer miles on it and now have one vehicle too many, so this one is for sale. Hope someone out there can get some good use out of it. It gets around 35MPG overall, getting fewer miles per gallon on the highway and better economy around town – on this year model, the EV capability is only for speeds less than 47 MPH, above 47 MPH, the gasoline engine runs all of the time.

JDPower says that these cost an average of $5600 from a dealer BEFORE you add on the $799 ‘Document Processing Fee’.

Some of the maintenance history:

• September 2023, @ 213K miles, we replaced the 12V battery.
• June 2023, 207K miles, 2 new Cooper CS5 Touring tires
• October 2022, 192K miles, Software update recall done by Ford
• September 2022, 191K miles – Driver’s side airbag replaced under Takata recall.
• August 2022, 189K miles – 2 new Cooper CS5 Touring tires
• January 2021, 150K miles – Replaced upstream oxygen sensor and driver’s side door handle
• April 2019, 120K miles – Passenger’s side airbag replaced under Takata recall.

The tires are in good shape – 2 x 60K mile tires installed when the car had 207K miles and the older two were replaced at 189K miles, so the two older ones should run another 18K or so and the newer two tires should be good for another 36K miles or so. The tires have been rotated and the alignment corrected about every oil change. The 12V battery was replaced in September of 2023. The oil & filter has been changed every time the car indicated it was time to change it with synthetic – about every 7K miles. It has almost always had ‘Top Tier’ fuel with the extra detergent run in it (usually from Shell or Citgo).

There is a small dent in the rear driver’s side door jamb with corresponding rust in the door seam – you can see this in the pictures. There are also some scratches on the roof and dings / chips in the paint on the hood from highway driving. (Hard to see in the pictures) There are probably other imperfections in the body – nicks and spots here and there – hey, it’s got over 200K miles on it!

The A/C blows cold.
