Description
Up for sale is an old Apple Power Macintosh 7200/90 from 1995. This old desktop Mac does not have a hard drive installed and does not come with the mounting sled – so you will need to provide your own mounting sled and your own hard drive. The data and power cables for the hard drive are there. We powered it on and the first time, we did not get anything to show on the monitor. (The monitor is NOT INCLUDED) However, the second time, we were able to get it to boot off of a MacOS 8.6 CD – the CD-ROM sounds like it’s got some loud crickets inside of it when it is reading from the disc! However, it did start up off of the CD. The CD is NOT INCLUDED – you will need to provide your own. It made the Macintosh boot up sound both times it was booted. The date and time were incorrect which means that it needs a BIOS battery also. The plastic on the case is in generally good condition, however it is 25 years old and is a bit brittle and has some pieces broken off – see the picture of the back of the unit.
So, to recap:
- Apple Power Macintosh 7200/90

- It needs a BIOS battery.
